[edit] Feedback list

Zoom in the pollspace browser
If you zoom in and out with the mouse-scroll-wheel the graphics of the delegation-arrow is somehow disturbed in Firefox
Workaround is "Zoom Text Only". Otherwise Firefox resizes the arrow images, and sometimes there's a 1 pixel rounding error (faint lines). Mike@zelea.com 08:01, 27 August 2009 (EDT)
Vote button
A "Vote for me"-button should be default in every automatically created user-wiki.
Staying logged in
How can I stay logged in in the wiki? Maybe it could be described in the help page.
Barred and corrected
If a vote is barred, the text still says: "The results below are corrected for your vote shift.".
It will be changed (on next reboot of the pollserver) to read, "The display below is corrected for your vote shift." ~Mike-ZeleaComtalk 08:07, 13 October 2009 (EDT)
Language policy for page content
Help_talk:Contents is currently a German version of Help:Contents. (Thomas is doing a huge amount of translation work, here and in the pollserver.) But that page also needs to be a talk page, for discussing how to improve the help page(s).
MediaWiki does support multi-lingual button labels and so forth (UI), but not multi-lingual pages (content). We need a policy for that. MediaWiki's own site has this policy. Here's an example of a page that follows it. Is this a good policy for us, too? ~mike@zelea.comtalk 16:21, 4 September 2009 (EDT)
Ok, I created Help:Contents/de. I like MediaWikis policy for languages. I would also like to have those language-templates running. But I don´t get it to work. --Thomas 09:06, 5 September 2009 (EDT)</s>
It should be okay now, at least for Help and User pages. ~mike@zelea.comtalk 23:51, 5 September 2009 (EDT)
Vote for this position
The button "vote for this position" is misleading because you don´t actually vote if you press it, but just get to the poll. So maybe make it really vote or call it "Go to the poll". (the latter would then make the "browse the votes" unneccassary. Feedback by Norbert
"Browse the votes" takes you to the pollspace browser, without setting up a vote. "Vote for this position" takes you to the same page, but it sets up a vote shift for a particular candidate. These are both links to another page, and not buttons (actions). After following the "vote for this position" link, all you have to do is press the Vote button to confirm it. Maybe that final step should be clearer in the pollserver UI? ~Mike-ZeleaComtalk 20:17, 25 October 2009 (EDT)
I changed the link in German to something like "Go to where you can vote". There is a single word for that in german. This makes it clearer. --ThomasvonderElbe GmxDe 05:40, 26 October 2009 (EDT)
Logging in twice
To login twice is kind of hard (Wiki and Server). Once would be better. Feedback by Norbert
Single login would be difficult to code. It sounds like a beta feature. Isn't the "keep me logged in" facility good enough for alpha? ~Mike-ZeleaComtalk 20:17, 25 October 2009 (EDT)
Voterlist in Pollspace-Browser
The list of Voters is limited to 20. Then it says: others. Is there something planned, to make it possible to make them visible?
To see all of Werner's BGE voters (more than 20, at the moment), you could go to his candidacy page. The candidacy page is old code, and I don't know what will eventually replace it. Ideally it is easy to see all the direct voters, if you want to. But ideally no candidate has more than 20 direct voters to deal with. The mosquito voters should move toward the leaves (leftward), instead of all massing on the end candidate. If the end candidate does not encourage this, then his heavier voters probably will. It's in their interest. It's in everybody's interest, as well, to unmass - to spread out a little and open up the lines of communication. ~Mike-ZeleaComtalk 19:33, 26 October 2009 (EDT)
